Elica Corporation, headed by Chairman Francesco Casoli and led by Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Perucchetti, has operated on the kitchen hoods market since the 1970s. Today the company has eight plants worldwide in Italy, Poland, Mexico, Germany, India and China. 3,400 employees produce 18 million pieces ranging from hoods to motors every year. 
 
Elica Corporation has two core businesses areas: cooking and motors
 
In the first area, Elica is the world's leading manufacturer of cooker hoods for household use. In the second area, Fime holds the number 1 position in Europe for the design, production and sale of electric motors for household appliances and boilers. 
 
The cooking division designs, manufactures and sells kitchen hoods for domestic use, with the Elica brand as well as for the world's leading manufacturers of household appliances and kitchens. For the Asian market, the company also produces hobs, ovens and sterilisers. The motors division manufactures and sells electric motors for appliances, hoods and boilers for household use.

1970

Elica S.p.A. is founded

1972

First contract with Philips

1978

Premature death of founder of Elica, Ermanno Casoli.
His son Francesco Casoli takes over the management of the company.

1990

Francesco Casoli appointed Chief Executive Officer

1995

Operation Araba Fenice: a fire razes the Fabriano
plant to the ground, but it is rebuilt in just four months, thanks to the commitment of all employees

2000

Acquisition of 60% of Jet Air and 20% of Airforce

2001

Acquisition of controlling stake in Fime, a company specialising in the production,
design and sale of motors for household appliances and boilers

2002

Establishment of Ariafina, a joint venture between Elica and Fuji Industrial Co. Ltd., Japan

2003

Acquisition of controlling stake in Fox and a further 25% in Airforce

2005

Opening of the Fime Polska Plant, Poland

2006

Acquisition of an additional 1% of Ariafina, giving Elica control.

Opening of the Elicamex, Mexico. Acquisition of the remaining 40% of Jet Air. Acquisition of Turbo Air

Elica listed on the Milan Stock Exchange

2007

Fime Polska changes name to Elica Group Polska: also start of production of hoods.

Merger of Jet Air, Turbo Air and Fox. Acquisition of 60% of Airforce

2008

Acquisition of 100% of the German company Gutmann

2009

Merger of Fime.

2010

Establishment of Elica PB India Private LTD, aA joint venture between Elica and Pralhad Buthada, India.

Acquisition of 55% of Zhejiang Putian Electric Co. Ltd., owner of the Puti brand, China.

2011

Elica's shareholding in Zhejiang Putian Electric Co. Ltd increased to 70%

Opening in the Russian Federation Elica Trading LLC., 70% owned by Elica, with offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg

2012

Transfer to Fuji Industrial Co. Ltd. of3.24% of the share capital of the Chinese company Zhejiang Putian Electric Co. Ltd. (Putian)..

Elica's shareholding in Elica Trading LLC increased to 100%
